Either way, this country has been able to prove that they are a force on their home territory and can compete with anyone when they put their mind to it.

Karim Benzema scored twice, while Adrien Rabiot and Antoine Griezmann each scored once to ensure France’s place in the 32-nation event in Qatar next year.
Didier Deschamps used a 3-4-3 system with Kingsley Coman at right wing-back, and the attack-minded approach resulted in an avalanche of goals as France’s innate brilliance shined.
“The goal was to qualify, but we did it in style as well, and you could see the delight the players had in playing together and how they shared things, particularly the forwards,” Deschamps said on French television.
“It’s all right; everyone got a piece of cake. It’s a win that recognizes all we accomplished in both half. At halftime, there’s a danger of slacking off a little, but we kept going because respecting your opponent is equally important.”
“We wanted to give ourselves an opportunity to defend our crown,” Mbappe said, referring to the 2018 tournament in Russia. Even for those who have participated in and won a World Cup, it is an unattainable goal.
“It was a hit with the audience, and we loved it as well. We held the game and our opponents in high regard. We wanted to continue all the way to the conclusion.”
The floodgates erupted when Mbappe scored a magnificent first-time goal from a Theo Hernandez pass in the sixth minute, with France constantly two gears ahead of the Kazakhs.
Mbappe doubled his tally in the 12th minute with a straightforward finish past a defender after Coman sprinted down the right flank, and he completed his hat-trick in the 32nd minute when he headed home an inch-perfect cross from Coman.

After the interval, the French never let up and quickly extended their lead with two fast goals from Benzema, who added a fourth from a Hernandez assist before Mbappe took over as the provider.
Rabiot scored his first international goal in the 75th minute, heading in Griezmann’s corner, before Griezmann tallied his 42nd with a penalty, putting him above of Michel Platini as France’s third-highest scorer.
With the home supporters already in full voice, Mbappe iced the game three minutes from time with a stunning strike into the bottom-right corner after a great assist by replacement Moussa Diaby.
After combining with Mbappe to deadly effect up front, Benzema was overjoyed.
“We’ve demonstrated that we’re compatible, that we can play together and have fun while scoring goals, generating opportunities, and contributing to the team,” Benzema said on French television. “I’m overjoyed to have played as well as I did and, most importantly, to have won.”
